Dr. Ciottone speaks at the University of Rome on Counter-Terrorism Medicine

BIDMC Fellowship in Disaster Medicine Director, Dr. Gregory Ciottone, spoke in November at the University of Rome Symposium on Strategies and Tools to Prevent and Combat New Terrorist Threats,  sponsored by the Observatory for Security and CBRNE DefenseDr. Ciottone, the founder of Counter-Terrorism Medicine, spoke about the recent rise in asymmetric, multi-modality terrorist attacks as representing “an emerging healthcare crisis for the 21st century”. The symposium highlighted a number of presentations from leaders in the Italian Intelligence and counter-terrorism communities. Dr. Ciottone was the only healthcare leader invited to speak.
