Brief Biography:

Dr.Khaldoon Hamad AlKhaldi is an emergency medicine physician from the UAE and graduated from medical school at the UAE University. Dr Khaldoon then completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Rennes University in France. During his training, he participated in disaster drills and finished a 6 month rotation in Emergency Medicine Services (SAMU) while in France. His extensive exposure to disaster medicine included unique opportunities such as training in extrication drills in F1 Motorsports, and he was part of the medical team at Yas Island, UAE circuit of F1 – Abu Dhabi in 2009. His particular interests within the realm of disaster medicine include mass gathering medicine, international EMS, and disaster preparedness. While at BIDMC, he was part of one of the first disaster response teams to deploy to the Philippines after the 2013 Typhoon and provided post-disaster medical care to many patients in he hardest-hit areas. He is tentatively planning to stay for the optional second year in the fellowship and complete a Masters Degree.
