Jamie Cathers, BSN, RN
Since obtaining her Bachelor in Science in Nursing from the University of Rhode Island in 2007, Jaimee has spent several years in various specialties and various locations. She started her career in Rhode Island and eventually moving to New York City, NY. In New York, she specialized in Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation at Mount Sinai Medical Center. While at Mt Sinai, she found an interest in forensics and obtained certification as a Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner from the New York Department of Health. Jaimee soon returned to New England and made Boston her home in 2013, where she started to work at The Beth Israel Medical Center in Emergency Medicine.
Soon after returning to Boston, she lent a helping hand in the Disaster Recovery efforts in NYC following Hurricane Sandy. This is where she developed a passion for Disaster Medicine and soon sought out further education and opportunities in this field. Jaimee completed the BIDMC Disaster Medicine Fellowship as the Nursing Fellow. Currently, Jaimee is obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing specializing in Acute Care Adult Gerontology.
