Program in Counter-Terrorism Medicine

Program Overview

Counter-Terrorism Medicine is a global healthcare initiative our fellowship helped to establish and has published over 30 peer-reviewed journal articles on ( see Publications Section). This focused interest group is run concurrently with the fellowship and utilizes our esteemed faculty, who collectively have over 150 years experience preparing for and responding to terrorist events at all levels of government, along with notable outside speakers, a dynamic curriculum, and field-rotation opportunities in Boston, federal government agencies, and sites around the world. Fellows learn the unique aspects of mitigation, preparedness, and response to terrorist events, including the health service support considerations in the era of asymmetrical threats and unique modalities, to include weapons of mass destruction.
