Centers of Excellence in Disaster Medicine

The BIDMC Fellowship in Disaster Medicine is creating a series of Centers of Excellence in Disaster Medicine through collaborations with Universities around the world, beginning in the Caribbean, China, and France. Each will concentrate on all-hazards preparedness but have a main focus based on relative risk profiles. Each will also have an operational component and integrate into the regional emergency preparedness systems. The sites will each serve as a field rotation site for our fellows. The centers that are coming online now are:

The Caribbean Center for Disaster Medicine- In collaboration with the American University of the Caribbean, Sint Maarten

The European Center for Disaster Medicine- In collaboration with the University of Toulouse, France

The Chinese Center for Disaster Medicine- In collaboration with Tianjin University, China

We are anticipating opening new centers soon in other locations soon!
